Mit Kvindeliv

Menstruation & cycle.

When your cycle affects more than your period.

Mood, sleep, concentration, energy and migraine can change through the menstrual cycle in some women.

At Mit Kvindeliv I offer specialist assessment, advice and treatment for PMS, PMDD and other cycle-related symptoms. I start from your symptoms, their pattern through the cycle and how they affect your everyday life.

What can I help you with?

PMS and PMDD

Do you experience recurring mood swings, irritability, sadness, difficulty concentrating, sleep problems or other symptoms before your period?

I help you investigate whether your symptoms follow a pattern that fits PMS or PMDD. Systematic symptom tracking through the cycle will often be an important part of the assessment.

If treatment is relevant, we go through the options together and make a plan based on your symptoms, your health and your wishes.

Other cycle-related symptoms

Some symptoms can appear or get worse at particular times in the menstrual cycle – for example migraine, ADHD or other recurring physical or mental symptoms.

I help you uncover the pattern and assess whether the symptoms may be cycle-related, and what the next relevant step could be.

Typical questions

  1. Are my mood swings and sleep problems related to my cycle?
  2. Could my concentration problems and mental fatigue be part of PMS or PMDD?
  3. How do I find out whether I have PMS or PMDD?
  4. Can my migraine get worse at particular times in my cycle?
  5. Can my ADHD symptoms change through the menstrual cycle?
  6. How do I track my symptoms so that we can see whether there is a pattern?
  7. What treatment options are there for PMS and PMDD?

Your situation, your options

I start with a thorough conversation about your symptoms, your menstrual cycle, your health and any previous treatment.

With cycle-related symptoms, the pattern over time is often central. That is why I may recommend systematic symptom tracking over one or more cycles as part of the assessment.

On that basis we assess together whether the symptoms may be cycle-related, and what options there are for advice, treatment and follow-up.

If your symptoms raise suspicion of a condition that requires a physical examination, a scan or other investigation, I help you on to the relevant examination.
