For business

Should we take women’s health into account when we talk about well-being and performance at work?

The menstrual cycle, fertility and menopause can affect both well-being and working life. I offer companies talks, consultancy and training – and quick access to gynaecological help for their employees.

Menopause and working life

Insomnia, exhaustion, difficulty concentrating and anxiety are some of the invisible symptoms many women experience during menopause. For some, the symptoms are so burdensome that they have major consequences for their private life, social relationships and working life.

In a Danish questionnaire survey from 2025, 19% of the women in menopause who were surveyed said that they had refrained from seeking more responsibility at work.

Among the participants who felt that menopause affected their working life:

  • 17.6%had considered changing jobs.
  • 5.5%had resigned entirely or mainly because of their symptoms.

We should take this seriously

We risk losing employees with valuable experience and knowledge. A loss for the individual, the company and society.

I believe that qualified knowledge, relevant help and an open dialogue can create better conditions for women’s well-being and performance – while also supporting companies’ recruitment and retention.

As a manager, it can be hard to know how best to support your employees while respecting their privacy, especially if you have no experience of the symptoms yourself.

I would like to help with that

I am a specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics with a PhD, and I have many years of experience with women in life phases where hormonal or reproductive challenges can make them vulnerable.

That is why I created Mit Kvindeliv: a specialist medical service where I offer individual advice, treatment and follow-up for women, as well as consultancy, talks and training for companies.

My talks for companies focus in particular on three areas

  • Cycle and menstruation

PMS, PMDD, cycle-related migraine and endometriosis – and what they mean for everyday life and working life.

  • Fertility and family building

What fertility treatment involves, and how the process can affect the employee practically, physically and emotionally – including at work.

  • Menopause and hormones

Knowledge about the symptoms – such as insomnia, exhaustion, difficulty concentrating and anxiety – and their significance for both physical and mental well-being. And which options for treatment and support are available.

We start from the company’s circumstances and work with concrete questions:

  1. 1How do we have the conversation?
  2. 2Which considerations and adjustments may be relevant?
  3. 3How do we meet both the employee’s needs and the company’s tasks?

For your customers

Talks for your customer events

Do you host customer evenings, member meetings or other events? I can also give talks for your customers about women’s health – the menstrual cycle, fertility and menopause.

The content is adapted to your audience and the format of the event.

Framework agreement

Quick access to a gynaecological assessment

Companies can also enter into a framework agreement with Mit Kvindeliv for quick access to gynaecological assessment, advice, relevant treatment and follow-up for their female employees.

The offer is voluntary, and each employee’s individual care is of course confidential.
